Jennifer Kissner is the Director of Global Trade Compliance for Newell Brands – Jarden Group. Jennifer directs global import and export compliance processes and supply chain security. Her span of responsibility includes developing, managing and implementing worldwide trade compliance strategy, programs and projects to ensure compliance with U.S. government export and import regulations, U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations, as well as government regulations in other global locations.
Jennifer began her career with IBM’s International Trade and Logistics division. After 12 years she left IBM and joined Flextronics International as their Global Import Compliance Manager. While at Flextronics she was promoted to the Director of Global Trade Compliance expanding her responsibilities to both Global Import and Export compliance. Jennifer is as an accomplished Trade Compliance professional with over 20 years of import /export compliance and supply chain security experience. She has a BS in Business Management and an MBA from The University of Phoenix, she is a licensed US Customs broker since 2001 and a member of the International Compliance Professional Association.
Lesa has been with JCPenney for 34 years and has always reported through the Trade Compliance department.
Over the years she has been involved in many areas including international sourcing, exports, and social responsibility. Her current responsibility as a Trade Compliance Manager includes managing the following programs; CTPAT, Patriot Act and AML Direct Imports, JCP’s Port of Entry Security Process, as well as providing IPR education to CBP and classification for all JCP direct import merchandise.
Patricia Cerisano is Global Customs & Trade Compliance Manager at Husky Injection Molding Systems, the world’s largest brand name supplier of injection molding equipment and services to the plastics industry. Patricia has been with Husky for over 17 years, where she has held various Customs & Trade Compliance positions during her tender. Her global responsibilities include; Customs and Trade Compliance teams in Canada, USA, Luxembourg, Latin America, India, Japan and China as well as managing Husky’s global C-TPAT and Customs Security programs.
Patricia joined Husky from Spar Aerospace, where she was Customs & Traffic Coordinator. Patricia holds the professional certification of a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) from the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers, and she holds certificates in Logistics from the Canadian Institute of Traffic &Transportation, and in Purchasing from Humber College, where she also holds a degree in Business Administration.

Eric has been with Dollar Tree/Family Dollar for over 20 years and has held roles in both international supply chain and customs compliance.
Currently, he is the Director, Customs Compliance for Dollar Tree and Family Dollar Stores where he is responsible for customs compliance and trade compliance activities to include UFLPA and CTPAT.
Prior to Dollar Tree/Family Dollar, Eric worked for OfficeMax, Inc. in various import logistics roles, with responsibility for the development and growth of their global logistics and customs compliance program. He began his career as a Customs Broker for A.W. Fenton in Columbus, Ohio.
Eric is a graduate of The Ohio State University and is a licensed custom house broker.
Scott Hannaford is the Customs Compliance Analyst for Canadian Tire Corporation where he is responsible for ensuring compliance with border security requirements for the Canadian Tire Retail (CTR) and Party City Canada (PC) business units which make up the Canadian Tire-owned Family of Companies. Since 2014, Scott’s primary role has focused on maintaining Canadian Tire Corporation’s border security programs including that of the U.S. Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) and Canada Customs Partners in Protection (PIP) programs.
Scott has developed internal audits and reporting for all CTR and PC vendors, suppliers, and carriers to ensure compliance with the US and Canadian security programs and mitigate risk within the international supply chain. Prior to joining CTC, Scott was with GGI International (aerospace, medical, industrial, and defense) where he developed and obtained CTPAT Certification in 2004.
Jodi has been with mid-west retail supercenter, Meijer Inc., for 20 years in both Inbound Logistics and Customs Compliance. Prior to her current role, she held the position of Global Logistics Manager, leading the team responsible for import & domestic inbound transportation.
In her current role, Jodi oversees Meijer’s CTPAT program which encompasses monitoring of Meijer’s extensive supply chain security, submitting the Annual Security Profile and Trade Compliance membership responses to Customs & Border Protection, as well as leading the cross-functional team through CTPAT revalidations. She collaborates closely with internal partners across various departments such as Global Sourcing, Responsible Sourcing, Legal, Asset Protection, Finance, Internal Audit, IT Security, and leads the Meijer CTPAT Task Force.
Michelle has been with The Home Depot for 25 years in various areas including Global Sourcing, Global Trade Services, and Global Trade Audit. Prior to her current role, she was responsible for the CTPAT program at The Home Depot, working closely with internal partners such as Global Sourcing, Social Responsibility, International Logistics, and Quality Assurance.
In her current role, she is responsible for the Global Trade Audit team, who performs audits in all Trade Compliance areas, to identify risks and ensure The Home Depot and its subsidiaries operate within the purview of laws and regulations governing international trade.
Chad J. Plants is a cross-functional logistics professional with 30 years of experience developing lean operational environments. Chad is a licensed US Customs broker who started his career in the Customs Brokerage industry. In his 19 years with Newell, Chad has consistently delivered savings, improved efficiency, and reduced risk while supporting Supply Chain & Logistics. Chad’s career has progressed at Newell, managing Distribution, Transportation, and Customs Compliance operations for the Commercial Group.
As Sr. Manager, of Global Supply Chain Security, Chad provides enterprise strategy, support, and guidance to ensure Newell Brands meets all minimum-security compliance requirements established by the Department of Homeland Security and Newell’s customers. Chad provides oversight to all Supply Chain Security certifications in all applicable countries as well as develops, documents, and provides training on policies & procedures in support of CTPAT, AEO, PIP, and other Supply Chain Security programs.
Penny has been working on the SCAN program for six years for BSI in China. She is responsible for SCAN audit facilitation and CAPA management.
Prior to her current work, she was a security compliance auditor for a service provider for three years and conducted 500+ onsite audits in factories in China focusing on labor, EHS, and supply chain security.
Colleen is the Senior Manager of Global Trade Compliance at Target. Colleen oversees Target’s CTPAT Supply Chain Security Program, PGA compliance and exception management, and response strategy for WROs and UFLPA. In her current role, Colleen works closely with internal partners such as Owned Brand Sourcing & Development, International Transportation, Third Party Risk & Compliance, and Legal.
Colleen’s prior experience includes over 10 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management across multiple retailers. She has been with Target over 8 years in varying roles across transportation operations and product management.
Dave’s career background includes 5 years as the VP of Global Security Operations including managing the company’s global supply chain security program. While in this role, Dave participated as one of the founders of SCAN, becoming the first Board Chair.
Prior to his role in Security Operations, Dave was one of the VP General Counsels at Walmart where he supervised a legal team supporting Ethics and Global Security divisions.
Previous to Walmart, he spent 30+ years with the IRS-Criminal Investigation Division and the US Department of Justice (Criminal Division) working on and supervising financial crimes prosecutions. During this same period, Dave remained in the military reserve compo net, retiring in 2010.
He was very fortunate to rejoin SCAN in August of 2018 as Executive Director. SCAN has always had a special place in his professional life. As the Executive Director, he will be the daily go-to source to assist the Board, members, and BSI in managing supply chain-related issues and facilitating resolutions.
Summer has been with SCAN since 2019 crossing over into the supply chain security auditing sector from her work as a non-profit development practitioner for 15+ years.
Summer has enjoyed working with various nonprofit organizations to help establish and implement fundraising and marketing strategies. Still, she truly enjoys working with the SCAN members, board, and committees considering SCAN’s close community among the most brilliant in the industry. She loves her role working under the direction of the executive director. She holds a bachelor’s in Mass Media from Henderson State University.
